Our bursary program helps eligible internationally trained geoscientists who are recent immigrants to Canada to meet the requirements for registration as a professional geoscientist (P.Geo.) in Ontario.
Eligibility
How to Qualify
Supporting internationally trained geoscientists facing financial barriers on their path toward professional registration.
Bursaries are awarded to immigrants to Canada who are internationally trained geoscientists and have demonstrated financial need for completing requirements for registration as professional geoscientists in Ontario. These requirements may include university courses, examinations and other registration-related costs.
Funding may support required courses to meet knowledge requirements, completion of the Professional Practice and Ethics Exam (PPE), and eligible application costs. Bursaries may be awarded throughout the year, subject to available funding.

PPE Exam Bursary
Supports PGO G.I.T.s and provisionally accepted P.Geo.s who need to complete the Professional Practice and Ethics Exam as part of their registration requirements.

Past Presidents' Bursary
Supports internationally trained geoscientists who need to complete PGO knowledge requirements as they work toward professional registration in Ontario.
